Your mom and I are both so excited! We finally finished all of the paperwork 
We had to get finger printed as a part of the process. Your mom had to redo two of her prints, but your dad got it perfect the first time. It all felt oddly familiar.
We hear that my finger prints are going to be rejected because of what they’ll find out when they look up my record. Your dad was an idiot for about seven years (which by the way does not give you permission to do the same thing). They say we can get around the rejection after I appeal it and tell them I’m a pastor and totally holy now.
Our friends Matt and Ally (who are adopting a baby too) joined us for the biggest yard sale of all time last week! We made over $2000 at it, which is helping us all with the costs of bringing you home.
It was a lot of work, but you should know that your mom and I would do 10,000 yard sales to bring you home. We met a few people at the yard sale who had adopted their kids too! One guy stopped by, not even to shop, but to hand us $10 to help. He had tears of joy in his eyes and a little girl on his arm that he had adopted 9 months earlier.
We’ve been praying for and thinking about your birth parents a lot lately. We know there’s a good chance you’re already bouncing around in your birth mom’s belly right now! We know that she’s got some very tough decisions ahead of her, and we’re praying that God gives her peace. Right now she can’t see it, but He’s got a plan for you. He’s orchestrating this whole thing, mostly behind the scenes, and we trust Him!

I have a little yellow sticky on my desk here at home to remind me to pray for Baby Guard and you guys. I know you both will be great parents and give the little tyke all the love the baby will need.

I really enjoyed having you as our speaker this past week at Epworth and I want you to know that reading these little letters to your future child makes me so happy! God will bless you with an awesome little addition to your family hopefully very soon! I’ll be praying for you and Lindsay for sure. Hopefully one day I may get to share in this experience as well
